This month, the children explored the exciting topic of Earth and space, along with a strong interest in outdoor play.
The children showed great enthusiasm as they learned about our planet, Earth, and what makes it special. We discussed land, water, and the importance of taking care of our environment. Through conversations and activities, the children began to understand that Earth is our home and that we all play a role in protecting it.
Our exploration then expanded beyond Earth as we learned about the sun, moon, and other planets. The children were especially interested in how the sun gives us light and warmth, and how the moon can be seen at different times. We explored the concept of day and night, and how the Earth’s movement helps create these changes. Through stories and hands-on activities, the children began to develop an early understanding of how our world works.
The children also enjoyed learning about the different planets in our solar system. They were curious about their sizes, colours, and unique features, which sparked many thoughtful questions and imaginative discussions.
In addition, the children showed a strong interest in outdoor play and learning. During outdoor time, they explored their natural environment, engaged in active play, and made connections between what they see outside and what they are learning in the classroom. Whether observing the sky, noticing changes in weather, or simply enjoying movement and fresh air, these experiences supported both their physical development and sense of inquiry.
