Green Day Fun!

Program Name: Infant

This month our infants showed so much love and interest in books and songs. They enjoyed different songs, but ‘Five Little Speckled Frogs’ was their favourite. The children love to listen, clap, and even hop like little frogs while singing. Seeing their excitement, we wanted to encourage their learning in a fun way, so we decided to bring a bit of nature into the infant room.

One Friday, we celebrated Green Day! All the children arrived dressed in green along with the educators, and a big surprise was waiting for them. In the room we set up a small pond with lots of frogs, some beautiful lotus flowers, and lily pads. Then we covered a table in a green cloth and found different green toys around the room to display.

The infants were full of joy and curiosity when they saw the pond setup. They splashed in the water and played with the frogs, and enjoyed making funny croaking frog sounds together. This experience not only brought smiles but also helped the children learn new words, explore deeper into the colour green, and dive deeper into discovering nature. The activity gave them a chance to enjoy sensory play, practice new language and sounds, and connect with their peers during this fun day. It was a wonderful day filled with learning, laughter, and lots of little hops!
