Since 1981, Owl has evolved from a single centre to eight centres and 11 YDP locations. As we continue to grow and increase brand recognition and awareness, we honour the past by remaining a trusted partner in the community with parents, schools and each other. Rebranding is part of that evolution that will help us to differentiate within a very competitive market and to focus on a new and improved brand strategy so that we can more clearly communicate our values and brand promise – and to ensure that we are delivering on those promises, providing the highest quality of care for children.
At the Annual General Meeting on May 19, 2020, the board put forth a proposal to change the corporation's name from Owl Child Care Services of Ontario to RisingOaks Early Learning Ontario. During the meeting, it was noted that it will be a gradual transition over the course of the next six months with a public launch scheduled for the spring of 2021. During an adjournment period, Members voted on the special resolution to rename the corporation. The results have been tabulated and confirmed In Favour. The Special Resolution is now carried and will be executed by the board.
