Exploring Spring

Print
Program Name: Infant

In the cozy corner of the childcare, infants are immersed in a delightful world of pretend play, welcoming spring in their own special way.

Educators gave the infants a tray filled with soil and some fake flowers. They all gathered around the bin, their eyes sparkled with curiosity, tiny hands reaching out eagerly to touch the soil. Some squished it between their fingers, feeling its texture, while others giggled as they explored the vibrant colors of the flowers and pom Poms.

Observing closely, the educators noticed how the infants engaged with the material in their own way. Some began to mimic planting, gently placing flowers into the soil, while others scooped handfuls of soil into the cups, experimenting with pouring and filling.

Through this simple yet enriching activity, the infants not only explored the wonders of nature but also developed essential sensory and motor skills. As they touched, squeezed, and manipulated the soil, they enhanced their hand-eye coordination.

Furthermore, the imagination play sparked by the fake flowers and seeds nurtured their creativity and cognitive development.

In the end, through the simple act of playing with soil and fake flowers, our infants are not only welcoming spring but also developing their skills.
