As we wrap up another school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on some of the exciting and meaningful learning experiences and celebrations that filled our month of June.
Pride Month Learning
This month, children participated in age-appropriate discussions about Pride Month, focusing on the importance of kindness, inclusion, diversity, and respect for all people. Through stories, conversations, and activities, children learned that every person and family is unique and deserves to feel valued and accepted. These experiences helped foster a strong sense of belonging within our classroom community.
Creative Arts and Crafts
The children enjoyed expressing their creativity through a variety of art activities. Using Wax Stix, they created colorful designs and explored different shapes, patterns, and textures. Children also used popsicle sticks to create imaginative craft projects, strengthening their fine motor skills while encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
School Garden Exploration
Our young learners spent time observing the plants in the school garden. They carefully examined flowers, leaves, and growing plants, discussing what they noticed and learning about the life cycle of plants. These observations encouraged curiosity, scientific thinking, and an appreciation for the natural world around them.
Children's Day Celebration
We had a wonderful time celebrating Children's Day! The children participated in a fun-filled dance party, moving to their favorite songs and enjoying opportunities to express themselves through music and movement. Singing, dancing, and celebrating together brought lots of smiles and laughter while supporting social connections and physical development.
