On June 1st, we celebrated International Children’s Day in our School Age 2 program. It was a fun-filled day where children and their families came together to enjoy games, laughter, and special memories.

We invited parents to join us in the celebration. The day began with an exciting Tug of War game. First, the parents participated and then the children had their own round. Everyone showed great teamwork, strength, and encouragement.

The children also enjoyed a Ball and Spoon Race. They carefully balanced a ball on a spoon held in their hand while walking to the finish line. This activity helped children develop balance, focus and hand eye coordination.

Another favorite activity was the Balloon Game. Children worked hard to keep their balloons in the air. They laughed, moved, and stayed active while practicing quick reactions and concentration.

We also played a Parent and Child Partner Race. A parent and child had one leg tied together and worked as a team to walk from one side of the gym to the other. This activity encouraged cooperation, communication, and trust between parents and children.

To make the day even more special, we created a photo booth where children could take pictures and celebrate their achievements. Each child received a “Superstar Student” certificate to recognize their efforts, kindness, and participation throughout the year.

During the celebration, the children eagerly shared their excitement and pride. Edward excitedly asked, “Can I play the balloon game again?” after enjoying the activity with his friends. Following the parent and child partner race, Kinley proudly said, “My mom and I are a great team” while celebrating their successful teamwork. At the end of the event, Elena happily shared, “I got my Superstar Student certificate” as she proudly showed her achievement to her family and friends. These conversations reflected the children's enthusiasm, confidence and sense of accomplishment throughout the celebration.

It was wonderful to see children and families smiling, playing and celebrating together. The day was filled with joy, confidence, and unforgettable memories as we honored the importance of every child.
