Program Name: School-age 3

The children in School Age 3 have been exploring entrepreneurship through play-based learning. They created their own Wellness Shop in the dramatic play area and took on roles such as shopkeepers, cashiers, and customers.

Children helped set up and organize the shop, arrange products, and welcome customers. They practiced buying and selling items using play money, setting prices for different products, and counting money during transactions. During group discussions, the children also talked about daily needs and wants and shared ideas about things people buy in their everyday lives.

To explore the idea of profit and loss, the children participated in simple activities such as counting how many items were sold, comparing how much play money the shop earned, and discussing what happens when a shop sells many items or only a few. They also talked about how businesses make money when customers buy products and what it means if fewer items are sold.

As part of their learning about entrepreneurship, children also explored the idea of different types of expenses needed to run a shop. The children worked creatively to design their own business logos, drawing pictures and symbols to represent their shop and making it recognizable to their customers.

Through these experiences, children developed early understanding of economic concepts while strengthening their communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and early math skills. It was wonderful to see their creativity and teamwork as they worked together to run their classroom shop.
