Jr. Camp

Completed: August 2018

RECEs: Kaitlin and Kara

Objectives: To expand on our current knowledge of the theatre and seek out answers to our questions by using the 6 primary areas of learning, and to ask some of our questions to a professional in the field.

The theatre project in the Jr. Camp program started in July. The educators observed the children as they dressed up and acted out dramatic play scenarios in which they would set up an audience and be the performers. The educators took this interest and started to add fabric, costumes and art materials that allowed the children the opportunity to express themselves freely and creatively. With a little help from the Centre In The Square, we were able to explore the theatre further.
