This month, we have been doing lots of creating and painting as we get to know one another. The children in toddler 2 have been developing their fine motor skills as they held on to the rollers, sponges, and brushes. They used their gross motor skills to spread the paint and began to work on their teamwork skills as they all worked together to create some beautiful artwork.

September is a big month for change in our programs, with many new faces joining our classrooms. Working collaboratively on an art piece helps to build a strong sense of community within our program. We are using our giant artwork to create an ongoing display, which will help the toddlers feel a sense of ownership and pride in their environment. The toddlers will get to see themselves and their work physically represented in our environment, which will contribute to a strong sense of community and belonging.

We can’t wait to see how our board develops over the coming year!
